Dr. Xin Sun
(she/her/hers)
I am excited to share that I will start my lab in July 2025 in the Department of Biology, at the University of Pennsylvania! If you are interested in working with me, please check the page here. This website is under construction (from a personal website to a group website, exciting!)
I am a microbial ecologist and biogeochemist fascinated by how tiny microbes drive global biogeochemical cycles under natural and anthropogenic challenges. My research integrates biogeochemical field studies, metagenomics, microbial ecology experiments, models, and theories to quantitatively characterize and predict microbial diversity and their processes in a changing environment.
